About Me

Hello and thank you for finding out more about me and what makes me tick. I'm Tracey, a 27 year old adventurer who lives in Liverpool in the North West of England. I have an adventurous spirit and such a thirst for travel that now I've been bitten by the bug, I just can't stop!

The concept for this blog came to me while i was visiting the beautiful Greek Island of Kefalonia. I love to travel and thought it would be a good idea to document the places I've visited and the amazing things I've seen, not only for myself but also for potential travellers who may be interested in visiting some of the places I've been to.

Growing up, I regularly took vacations with my parents and brother and visited many places including Greece, Spain and Austria. During my late teens I travelled with friends to the Canary Islands and Crete but I couldn't necessarily say we had 'cultural experiences' on those trips!

My travelling journey began 5 years ago in November 2007. I had graduated from University and decided to fulfil a lifelong dream. I have always had a fascination with the USA and this, along with Canada was to be my destination on an epic 3 month trip. From the moment I touched down, a lifelong love affair with the United States began and continues to this day. The people, the places, the diversity of the landscape and the diversity between each of the states completely won me over. Despite this, I have only visited the states once since then, in April 2011 as there are so many places to see in the world! My dream is to one day live in the United States.

After returning, and having been 'bitten' by the travel bug, real life set in and I now balance my full time job working for the National Health Service with as many trips as my annual leave and funds will allow! Originally from a small town in North Wales, I love wide-open spaces and am quite a 'country bumpkin' at heart so I live in an area of Liverpool that borders a large park so I can get my 'wide open spaces' fix!

Over the last 5 years, I have visited many places and this blog includes everywhere from Brazil to Greece to Chile! Next on my list is a 5 week trip to New Zealand in March 2013.
